UnComix Tales: The Humans (One-Shot): The Epic Series Finale "All Loose Ends..." (Un-Iverse #68) 

All right! A definitive Series Finale promising major wrap-up, and all your questions being answered! What could possibly go wrong? 

It's possible this issue will frustrate you because it makes no sense, and might be referencing something you've never seen, so you might wind up feeling confused and unsatisfied. But the thing we're spoofing was confusing and unsatisfying, so even if you don't "get it", it should probably still land correctly. 

What do I say about all jokes in The Un-Iverse you don't get? Blink twice and move on. Will you be willing to do that for an entire issue? I hope so because I haven't had this much fun scripting and putting an issue to paper in ages. The final Humans story is in my mind the only one that doesn't totally suck! Neat! 

UnComix Tales: The Dark Child Saga: The Fall Of F.I.S.H. #1: "Part One: The Age Of Fear" (Un-Iverse #69)

All mediocre things must come to an end. F.I.S.H. is going out fast and it's going out HARD. Can Lance stop the Empire's final decline? Probably not. But if not, can he survive it? The death sentence currently hanging over his head for protecting the innocent Redmond puts that into question. 

Paranoia, hatred, and rage hit The Un-Iverse's Star Trek stand-in all at once. And there but for continuity grace go we all. Maybe The Un-Iverse isn't better or worse than Star Trek. Maybe Star Trek is just luckier. And if The Un-Iverse is already a uniquely lucky Universe, maybe its luck is finally running out. 

UnComix Tales: The Dark Child Saga: The Fall Of F.I.S.H. #2: Part Two: "The Beginning Of The End" (Un-Iverse #70) 

The origin story I never expected to tell and you were never supposed to know. Also it will probably be nearly a hundred pages long. Intrigued yet? 

UnComix Tales: The Dark Child Saga: The Fall Of F.I.S.H. #3: Part Three: "The End Of Life As We Know It" (Un-Iverse #71) 

Contrary to the title, The Fall Of F.I.S.H. is NOT The End Of The Un-Iverse. It's The ACTUAL Beginning Of The End the previous issue's title alluded to. 

The Terran Wars are coming. Next. They are so close I can almost taste 'em. Stay tuned. 

UnComix Tales: The Terran Wars #1: Chapter One: "The World Savior Massacre" (Un-Iverse #72) 

The Terran Wars, the 19 Part Un-Iverse finale gets off to a running (and horrific) start! 

The Crisinians are getting ready to invade Earth, and have decided to take out all of Earth's Prophesized Saviors first. 

As a rule, the Author detests the idea in fiction of killing off a bunch of beloved characters for shock value, and considers it the lowest, cheapest, and laziest form of drama. That being said, it is my perspective that you can use that trope the ONCE in your entire franchise without wrecking things. This is that unfortunate issue. You have been warned. 

Also, all issues of The Terrans Wars will be fully inked and colored for the first time ever!

Gilda And Meek #8 "Enter Tork" Special Edition (Un-Iverse #8)

The Author totally botched the Piranha's return to the group in the Original First Edition of "Enter Tork", and made it dull and anticlimactic as hell. In fairness to me, I was still relatively new at this at the time, and I simply did not possess the skills to make that return good. Now that I CAN maybe make the reunion tense, joyful, emotionally complicated, and exciting, maybe I'll TRY that now? Just a thought. We'll see. 

Gilda And Meek #12 "The Code" Minorly Extended Edition (Un-Iverse #23) 

An extra page will be added to Gilda and Augatha's dinnertime conversation. Couldn't resist. Not by ANY means a Special Edition, but I think the added page adds even more subtext to a scene where I really SHOULD be gaming out all the scenarios there. 

Also look for some upcoming site clean-up! Fixing some of the more egregious typos and spelling errors (at least the ones that still bug me) and the EXTENSIVE project of FINALLY changing Unkie Matty's name to Unkie Natty in ALL freaking instances just so that sociopath no longer shares my name! THAT is gonna be an undertaking. One in which I intend to bury Unkie Matty for good.

Welcome To Gilda And Meek And The Un-Iverse!

My name is Matt Zimmer and I have created a crudely drawn comic book (mostly in the pencil stage) and I have drawn over 50 issues at this point. I will be posting them all on this blog.  What is Gilda And Meek about?  It's about several things at once. It's a story of a Lucky Universe in a Multiverse teeming with Unlucky Ones and how our hero navigates that to her own advantage. It's a funny animal book that bit by bit reveals a huge fantasy and science fiction underpinning, much like Bone. It starts off as an erstwhile comedy until you realize it's actually been a drama the entire time. It's a story that after you read all 90 issues, you'll want to reread them again, as the best reading of The Un-Iverse isn't the first, it's the second. 1. Gilda And Meek "Groundwork" Special Edition (Un-Iverse #1)

Rating: PG-13 (Bloody Violence and Drug Use).  A Note About The Special Edition Of Gilda And Meek "Groundwork" The first version of Groundwork looked absolutely terrible. I had not drawn in over 15 years when I put it to paper in 2015 and my weak arm and lettering indecisions made the issue look incredibly unprofessional. Not my best foot forward for getting people into Gilda And Meek on this site.  So I've taken the occasion to entirely redo the artwork with some minor script revisions. It looks much closer to my current art style and yet I feel the rough spirit of the first version is still present. As the Groundwork for the canon, it was sort of designed to be the worst issue to start out with, and to be built upon and improved from there. I think it's probably still the worst issue (as designed) but I'm no longer ashamed of the artwork. Rating: PG. Nothing too objectionable.   Author's Note for Gilda And Meek #2 "The Otterman Cometh" (Un-Iverse #2) Two apologies are due the reader. 1. Sorry for the sucky artwork. As the Special Edition of "Groundwork" proves, it DOES get better as it goes along. I hope you won't be TOO concerned about it. 2. I am VERY sorry for Donna Demented. Extremely. Worst character I have ever created and she deeply shames me. The worst part is her upcoming arc is absolutely crucial to the mythology of one of the characters, and I couldn't excise her even if I wanted to. The bad Serial Mom rip-off almost seems to exist to make feminists the butt of some unfunny joke. I swear that isn't really her intention, but she can certainly be read that way.
