Author's Note for UnComix One-Shots #3: The Piranha (Un-Iverse #17) 

The Piranha story is very slight, but I swear to God, everybody who reads this issue absolutely raves about it. Mostly because people know how much like the Piranha I am in real life and I suspect they're imagining Matt Zimmer in a cartoon short. But although I don't feel very gifted in telling comedic shorts, people freaking LOVE "Cookies". 

The story I dig is "Stella Cheats At Kitten Poker". The original title (“Spike Cheats At Kitten Poker”) is a misnomer, a reference to Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and something I knew I’d eventually get around to changing. But if you ask me it's the first great story of the One-Shots and it's also one of the reasons Stella Stickyfingers is my fourth favorite character after Gilda, Bernadette, and Otterman. 

The two states Kitten Poker is legal are Texas and Florida. Duh.

1. Gilda And Meek "Groundwork" Special Edition (Un-Iverse #1)

Rating: PG-13 (Bloody Violence and Drug Use).  A Note About The Special Edition Of Gilda And Meek "Groundwork" The first version of Groundwork looked absolutely terrible. I had not drawn in over 15 years when I put it to paper in 2015 and my weak arm and lettering indecisions made the issue look incredibly unprofessional. Not my best foot forward for getting people into Gilda And Meek on this site.  So I've taken the occasion to entirely redo the artwork with some minor script revisions. It looks much closer to my current art style and yet I feel the rough spirit of the first version is still present. As the Groundwork for the canon, it was sort of designed to be the worst issue to start out with, and to be built upon and improved from there. I think it's probably still the worst issue (as designed) but I'm no longer ashamed of the artwork. Site Clean-Up Updates And Reports Archive

  Here is the site progress for our clean-up!  Goals:  Cleaning up typos and mistakes, and changing every instance of Unkie Matty to Unkie Natty. Not ALL typos will be fixed (a bunch will not even be caught) but that's okay because as established in Lace Doilies "Silent, But Deadly" the typos are actually canon, whether I fix some of them or not.  What will NOT be cleaned up:  The messed up page numbers in the earlier issues. WAY too big a chore with no benefit. Worse, if I decide to do a Special Edition later on all that work would be meaningless. The wrong page numbering is just a mistake we will have to learn to live with. Formatting of this entry: Before the site clean-up became the massive undertaking it did, I simply added each day's work onto the end of the post.
