4. Gilda And Meek "The Woman In Sunglasses" (Un-Iverse #4)

Rating: Hard PG-13. Strong bloody violence, strong sexual situations, drinking, language, brief cartoon nudity, and adult themes.

Author's Note for Gilda And Meek #4 "The Woman In Sunglasses" (Un-Iverse #4)

Watershed, make-or-break issue for The Un-Iverse exploring interpersonal relationships, adult themes, a legit story arc, and, yes DRAMA for the first time.

The Big Questions to ask: Will the gross Vic Puff and Donna Demented wedding night stuff put off readers for good? More importantly, what will readers of the franchise enjoying a funny animal book think when it's bit by bit revealed to have been a serious drama the entire time and always was?

Bernadette is not an unusual character for making the reader totally forgive her calling Gilda a "stupid effing cow". That's unusual enough for this franchise, but smartass characters you kinda like for their buttholishness are a dime a dozen in genre.

What makes Bernadette a singularly unique character is that she is the ONLY one that you would ever half agree with when she says it! THAT'S why Bernadette is unusual and mold-breaking. The fact that she's an asshole is not actually impressive or uncommon. The fact that she's always right in the asshole things she says which is the thing that makes her a rarity.

My mantra regarding Bernadette is and always has been "The Complainer Is Always Right".
